We know that caring for your exotic pet requires specialized experience, knowledge and care. You can rest assured when your beloved pet is in our hands, because our veterinarians are equipped to provide the highest quality of care to your unique pet.
Our vet Dr. Tanya Wyman keeps us up-to-date with well-rounded resources in avian and exotics wellness, diagnostic and urgent care services. We are dedicated to providing exotic pets with proper care so they can have long and healthy lives.
At Animal Health Services we offer routine wellness and preventive care services for birds and other exotic pets. We are also able to see exotic pets can for medical and behavioral concerns.
Similar to cats and dogs, regular veterinary care can benefit birds and other exotic pets helping them have long, healthy, and happy lives. Our vets are trained to provide care and veterinary treatments for these species.
At your pet's first wellness visit, our vets will thoroughly go over your pet’s housing, nutrition, and care. They will also perform a comprehensive and in-depth physical exam. Our vets will discuss and recommend health screening tests and vaccines when needed. And, talk to you about any husbandry, health, or behavior concerns. There will also be a designated time for you to ask any questions that you have. Any recommendations will be customized to the needs of your pet and family.
Our vets are able to address any health and behavior concerns you have for your birds or other exotic pets. If you and your exotic pet are experiencing an emergency please call (480) 488-6181 prior to your arrival (if you are able) so we can determine the availability of our veterinarian. While we do accept walk-in and work-in emergencies for exotic pets, there might be an additional fee if there is a double appointment booking.
We are fully equipped at our hospital to be able to meet the needs of very sick birds and other exotic pets. Our Emergency Services are staffed by our veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians, and support staff.
If you can, please call us in advance so we can see if our vets have any availability or if our Emergency Service veterinarian has space in their schedule to evaluate your exotic pet.
