A well-groomed pet is a comfortable, clean pet.

Animal Health Services is pleased to offer grooming services through The Tender Paw Day Spa. Grooming is the best way to help your pet look and feel great! The Tender Paw Day Spa offers routine grooming services, such as baths, brushings and sanitary trims, and we offer unique spa therapies that relieve itching caused by allergies, regrow damaged hair and restore natural pigmentation.

Besides the obvious cosmetic improvements, grooming also has many hygienic benefits. Animal Health Services recommends getting pets groomed every four to six weeks to avoid painful matting of the coat, ear infections and parasite infestations.

Medical benefits of grooming:

  • Improves general cleanliness
  • Decreases possibility of many skin conditions
  • Prevents and eliminates parasites
  • Removes excess hair from seasonal shedding

Our salon professionals are experienced with all breed-specific grooming requirements, and we create customized grooming programs for each individual client. We offer free consultations with our grooming staff so we can help you figure out which specific grooming services can help your pet.

Our groomers work hard to make cats feel calm and soothed during their grooming appointments. However, due to their nature, some cats will require general anesthesia at an additional fee to lessen their stress during spa experiences. This is called a “sleepytime groom.” If your pet requires anesthesia, they will be monitored by a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT). Give us a call ahead of your cat’s appointment to discuss any special needs your pet may have prior to the procedure.
