LOBBY
Our spacious lobby is designed to accommodate all pets. There are actually two separate entrances with their own waiting areas. The dog entrance features a large open area with a scale for checking their weight and four exam suites set up specifically for the canine patient. The cat entrance also serves as the exotic pet entrance. Feline patients as well as our exotic pets tend to like their areas kept quiet and calm. As we all know, some dogs can be a little more vocal and rambunctious.
GREETER STATION
Animal Health Services has a greeter station in the middle of the lobby. This will ensure that a smiling face will always be present to greet you when you come into the hospital. The greeter will complete all of the necessary paperwork and expedite the process of admitting your pet into the hospital or into an exam room. Our greeters are friendly and courteous and are here to improve your experience in our hospital.
EXAM SUITES
Our hospital has designated exam rooms for cats, dogs, and avian patients on each side of the hospital. All of our exam suites are spacious and comfortable for you and your pet. The cat and avian suites are located on the east side of the hospital where it is quiet and more comfortable for these type of patients. The dog suites are on the west side of the hospital and even the largest of canines will have plenty of room to get up and walk around. By keeping our front office separated, we optimize a pleasant experience for all pets.
TREATMENT SUITES
In addition to our standard canine, feline, and avian exam suites, we also have extra large treatment suites on each side of the hospital. These suites are used to perform such procedures as V.O.M. (Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation), blood draws, and urine collection. They are equipped with oxygen and anesthesia to handle any type of emergency situation or even a simple out-patient procedure. We also use theses room to accommodate the client who may need to bring in multiple pets.
TENDER PAW DAY SPA
Animal Health Services offers canine and feline grooming. Our facility is much more than a grooming parlor. Through the use of a product line manufactured in Italy, we can approach proper skin management on a whole new level. The Iv San Bernard product line consists of all-natural based shampoos and balsams. Our spa consultants are able to help allergy-ridden dogs grow their hair back and even help to stop the itching. Not to mention the smell! We also cater to the difficult to groom patients. Using care, patience, and love, we are able to provide service for patients that have been turned away from other facilities.
Did you know that our Tender Paw Day Spa was mentioned on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno? Mr. Leno somehow got a hold of our brochure and featured the spa on March 12, 2007!

Let our professional staff take care of your pets during your time away. We offer kitty condos and large runs for dogs. Our staff is dedicated to give your pet plenty of attention while they are in our care.
The kitty condos allow our feline patients up to 4 cubicles to explore, stretch, or sun themselves and relax. The condos are located in a quiet part of the clinic away from the barking dogs allowing our feline guests peace and tranquility. Our canine runs are large and comfortable and each dog is walked outside for play time up to 6 times a day.

This means there is not the typical 24 hour turn around time when using an outside laboratory. In addition to our equipment, we stay above the cutting edge by using laboratory techniques and staffing that will provide our clients with accurate diagnostics to help provide quick answers in the care for their pets.

We utilize the services of board certified radiologists to read and diagnose the CT films. Now our clients can get the best information from specialists across the country without ever leaving Cave Creek.
DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY
We are excited to announce the addition of our new digital radiography software. This technology gives us a much better image to help diagnose problems on the inside of our patients. The benefits of Digital Radiography includes a shorter time frame to obtain quality x-rays, lower exposure levels of radiation for your pet and for our staff, and the ability to send images via email for review by specialists across the country. Some more benefits are that we no longer need to use dangerous chemicals for processing the films and there is no need for a large storage space as all images are stored on a computer.
ULTRASOUND
The use of ultrasound technology has greatly improved our abilities to make an accurate diagnosis. Animal Health Services uses a MyLab 50 ultrasound machine that is considered state of the art for a veterinary hospital. All of our doctors have undergone extensive training so that we can offer this valuable service to our clients. We are also able to use telemedicine, which allows us to send ultrasound information to specialists across the country for review and recommendations.
